Industrial Valve & Engineering Supplies (PTY) LTD / Vemco, started trading in a small rented premises in 1979, manufacturing Syphon tubes, Hydraulic test pumps and a small range of Valves.

From this humble beginning we started a group of individual companies, separately trading in Spartan, Pretoria, Brits and Chrisville and called ourselves the Break Away Group. To date the Break Away Group consists of 9 sales and marketing companies of which 3 are also manufacturing concerns, producing gaskets, valves and test pumps, a branch in Kwa-zulu Natal, Nelspruit and many merchants throughout South Africa. The Group employs approximately 140 personnel.

Industrial Valve & Engineering Supplies (PTY) LTD (Head Office) supplies their products though agents or merchants who can make LUCRATIVE profits, through out South Africa and is currently exporting to many countries in Africa.

• VEMCO’S main function is the local manufacture of the Break Away range of valves, consisting of Globe valves, Non return valves, Strainers, Sight glasses, Safety valves, Relief valves, Thermodynamic steam traps, Ejectors, Steam reducing valves, Syphon tubes and Hydraulic test pumps, suitable for water, oil, gas and steam application.
• Design and manufacture of Relief and Discharge Valves used in the Petroleum transport industry. Also supplying this product to the export market.
• Import and Stockists of: Cast Iron, Bronze and Stainless Steel Valves: Gate valves, Globe valves, Strainers, Screwed and flanged check valves, Ball valves, Steam traps, Solid valves, Airline filter, Regulator and Lubricator, Pressure gauges, thermodynamics, Pipe threading machines and general engineering tools and machinery.
• Supplying Pipes, Fittings and Flanges in galvanised, Steam black, Stainless Steel, PVC and Copper to BS, JIS schedule spec.
